DescriptionEngagement with accessibility, can take different forms. The accessibility library, within the intercultural engagement office, is a space for individuals to borrow books discussing physical accessibility and accessibility support. The informal nature allows students to readily access accessibility content throughout the year.
Workshops are also consistently held throughout the academic year, to educate individuals about neurodivergence, and how neurotypical individuals may be able to support them. Publications such as guidebooks, are also useful tools to orientate new students, as well as faculty for different ways to make the educational experience an equitable experience for all.
Lastly, events also serve an important role in providing individuals opportunities to engage with accessibility. From film screenings to field trips to exhibitions, the community may be exposed to different forms of such as Diversity Week provide another platform for accessibility issues to be emphasised, and a way to increase outreach to others.
