DescriptionAccessibility comes with many different definitions, and many ways to use the term. However, one key focus of the term would be ensuring access for persons with disability on campus.
A key tenet of physical accessibility is ensuring an equitable experience for all individuals to reach their goals. This takes the form of understanding, designing resources to cater to others’ different cognitive, social, emotional, physical needs. With every student having their own unique educational journey and different starting points, different levels of support is needed for students to reach their goals, both in college and beyond.
With one of Yale-NUS’s key values being inclusivity, accessibility support is important, for all members of the college community to thrive fully, and achieve their goals.
